What better time to start blogging again than the new year (okay, it's not exactly that new anymore but THIS IS MY BLOG). Of course, at this time of the year lots of people are making new year resolutions which sound like "become rich", "get attached", "get a new job", "become a better person" etc. I for one don't really make such resolutions, 'cause I'm probably gonna break them anyway and become disappointed. It's better to just let things flow and when something good happens you'll genuinely be pleasantly surprised.
As far as 2008 is concerned, I can foresee a few things happening:
The American economy will continue to be mired in the subprime mess...
... dragging down with it some highly positively correlated markets...
... but Australia and emerging markets will be spared...
Millions of people are going to die
